Calling for snow here in the northwoods this week,father in law wants to put his pontoon boat away,what all needs to be done for this motor to sleep the winter away?
All I do with mine is change the oil & filter and also the lower unit lube. I also do the lubrication points as per manual so it is ready for spring. I have a WP gauge so I blow the water out on the line from gauge to water pump. Don't hear to much on these motors, they always stop selling things that work great.

I would also pull the the plugs and fog the cylinder walls and have stabil or BRP 4+2 in fuel as to not gum up the injecters.

And you must run the engine at least 15 minutes to get the fuel distributed through out the fuel system, do this at the ramp, not on a hose. It takes a while for the fuel to make it thru the system properly. Use the STORAGE mix of 2+4, not the running mix. Make sure all the water is drained out of the engine, store the engine in the down position. Spray the power head w/ silicone spray or other protectant.
