I am in need for new tires on my tow vehicle and was wanting to get opinions on what tires you guys think last the longest.
This is my everyday vehicle as well????

Not Goodyear Wranglers if you launch on wet boat ramps or drive on wet roads.
I have Michelins and rarely have any spin.

I put a set of these on the Tacoma I owned. They road nice and had good traction but after only 15,000 miles they looked more than half worn. I traded the truck shortly after so I can't tell ya the end mileage.,
Any non aggressive AT type tire will do well. My Nitto Terra Grapplers seem to be wearing well.

I've got Bridgestones that came on my Silverado. They've got 35,000 and look like they're shot. In fact the guy at Discount Tire didn't even want to rotate them. I'm going to try to get a few thousand more out of them and then I guess I'll have to shell out a G note for a new set.![]()
To answer the question...I have always have very good service from B.F. Goodrich Long Trails and that's what I'll replace the Bridgestones with.
Don't worry Ma'am....

I never have understood this--people will drop 40k on a new truck but whine about spending 1k on tires. When you bought it, i assume you knew it would need tires eventually
Back to the original post--i would go with Michelin tires. period.

I guess i am used to it. Its been $800-1000 for a set of tires since i have been driving (2004). Maybe i don't know about the good ol' days. When i bought my truck, i went with one with 18inch wheels rather than 20+ to keep tire prices in check

Michelin LTX's I've had them on my last two 4x4 diesel trucks. I rotate them every 5000 and will get 70-75000 miles from a set. I just rotated them last weekend and measured the tread. They are at 70% of new tread depth with 40,000 on them. Sam's club had the best prices on the last 3 sets I have bought.
They ride great and are quiet.

20's around here are cheaper than 17 and 18's. @ our shop we charge more for the rare 17-18 inch tires......20's are getting very common.

Yes of course I knew it would need tires but I would like to get more than 35 or 40 thousand miles our of a set. I'm used to getting close to 75,000 miles out of the B.F. Goodrich tires I mentioned.
I suppose you're so wealthy that a grand is chump change to you but every thousand dollars I spend on tires that wear out prematurely is a thousand I'm not spending on something else that is probably needed more. I drive my truck for work so it isn't just for joy riding to the lake.
