Just got a letter from BRP this morning for recalls on 2004-2007 40-90Hp with S/n#'s below 5166490 for possible fuel filters damaged during testing. It is possible that they could cause a fire. BRP is advising that the motors not be run until they have been checked by the dealer.
This will effect a few of us here but glad it's a quick fix. Guess it will be a good time to get any new updates if the're are any.

I have yet to see any that have leaked, but it only takes one or two instances in today's society to make a company take notice. Also by saying don't use the motor until fixed, they are protecting themselves. If you have one of these motors, call your dealer. It only takes a few minutes to swap filters, so they may do it while you wait.
The same filter is used on the V4 and 60° degree V6E-TEC motors, but those fuel systems are different and are not pressurized like the inline's systems were during assembly.
