I have a 1998 150 Ficht, That I want to get a new computer for. Mine is tripping a code for water in the water fuel seperator. I have had it rebuilt once for the same code when OMC was having trouble and I could'nt get one from them. I have been told by a dealer that I can get them now but they have had them on back order for months now. Am I getting the run around or are they that hard to get. They also told me a rebuilt one from OMC is within $ 100.00 of a new one, and if I get a new one I'll have to give them my old one as a core trade in? Also how much is a new one now costing?

Not Rusty, but I think they need your old one to download the info into the new one.

The old EMM needs to go back so they can download the info into the new one. Sometimes the availability is an issue. I ordered new ECU ror a gen 2, there were ten in stock on Friday. The new and reman are within $100 on some models. You will have a gen 1 or gen 2. Gen being generation. 1,2,3, VEMM, E-tec.
