Barlows, Janns netcraft or fishingskirts.com. I mostly use medium, but do go heavy on the heavier jigs and sometimes flipping jigs.
which ones do u like the best???? or are they pretty much the same???
Weedguards only come in four sizes and the 1/8 is what most jigs use. Standard 1/8 guards are medium stiffness unless otherwise stated. Medium works for most applications but if you are fishing heavy line and brush I would try some of the heavy ones.

I like the y guards. I know a lot of people don't. I think they hook up better. YG-1 is the size I use.

When I make footballs I use a medium. My bullethead jigs I use heavy. Swim jigs I use medium.
I prefer the wire weedguards. The ones I use are a twisted cable style like those used in the Stan Sloan jigs. I got them from a friend who has jigs commercially made for his tackle business. But, I think Jann's or Barlow's sells something similar for their shakey heads. I use two in my jigs.

The most popular size of weedguard used in jigs is probably the 1/8” base. Like you said, they are available in either medium or heavy stiffness.
The medium stiffness weedguards are nice when you are fishing lighter or more sparse cover. I like them on football jigs, as well as swim jigs.
The stiff weedguards feature stiffer fibers than the medium, and work well on flipping jigs, or jigs that are going to be used in heavier cover.
Selecting a weedguard for your jigs is something that is personal preference and depends what kind of cover you will be fishing.
