    Spinnerbait skirt oring?

Going through some of my tackle today I noticed alot of my spinnerbaits skirts are falling off due to the rubber band that holds them on were rotted and broken. Other than putting a new skirt on or replaceing the band whats a better way to hold them on? I was thinking heat shrink would be a good choice. What other ways are there?

this or you can wire tie them. Sometimes I will just replace the skirt collar with a new one.

Use a tiny zip tie, wrap with copper wire, or what I do...tie the skirts on with fly/jig tying thread and then coat with a little clear fingernail polish.

In the walmart arts and crafts section they sell a small diameter green wire that I've used to tie skirts on spinner baits, buzz baits and jigs for years..
