    Lowrance hds 10 help

Hooked up new hds 10 and the temperature won't read. Just 3 lines. Made sure it was turned on and it was. Any advice? Hooked it up to 3 different transducers and it does the samething. My 5 works fine in console.

Is the generic 83/200 xducer selected? Networking? May read through the lowrance forums.

Ask Jason with lowarance ( forum) but you need to go into setting and make sure its on the HDS 10 unit.. I really can;t remember and Jason is great and will help you.

Man I'm not no genius when it comes to this. How do I check that? I selected the correct transducer.

Go to the low trance forum and follow the post at the top that says "solved the hds temp issue". You have to go into your network and set your transducer to local.

Did you replace an existing unit? Do you have a Nema nework? Give some more info...its possible that you have the nema network and it was powered by your old unit...when you replaced it with the HDS unit it will no longer be powered therefore you lose the temp....

Re: Lowrance hds 10 help (fishin couillon)

I just bought the unit used off of a guy on here. Hooked it up in the front where I had my hds 5 and it wouldn't work so I tried it off the transducer that's in the hull. I don't know anything bout nema

Where is your hds5 reading the water temp from, a transducer, or your nmea network? I assume because you have the hds5 you are running GPS. If so did you hook it up or have some one else install it? It sounds like you may just need to go into your settings and add it

Re: Lowrance hds 10 help (Yama225)

The hds5 was originally on the front of the boat hooked to the transducer on the trolling motor but I mover it to my dash in the console and removed my 520 c. Now I have the 10 and I'm putting it by the console on a ram mount. I got the power run and I'm goin to run an Ethernet cable from console to new 10 so I can just run off one transducer in the hull.
