What changes are for 2013

Wondering if there are any changes coming for 2013 since these boats are pretty well perfected already. Love the cougar and that will be my next boat had my boat now 10 years and its mint condition hope to get a decent $$$ for it to put a basscat in its place next year. Hope Basscat runs a special again so we can still get in a boat as a working man, I feel like the boats are a morgage payment instead of a boat payment! Just seems like the sport is getting further out of reach and more expensive.

I suspect maybe one of the current models that dont have the same lines as the eyra or cougar ftd will get the make over. My opinion would be all of them get the new line. I like to dream though. The PIV and PII would look sweet with the same lines

You aint lying, but if people are crazy enough to spend 50 plus on a bassboat they are just going to keep going up.

The way I look at it is this. I don't need a BMW or Mercedes to get me back and forth to work. You only need to spend as much or least as you want to go fishing. Nothing in the rule books says you have to have a 52K boat to go catch green fish even in a tournament. That's the beauty of this sport. You can pond fish from the bank, fish out of a jon boat on small lakes or fish from a nice glass rig of any size and still have fun as long as your fishing. All depends on what you want, can afford or how much your willing to spend.

Personally I think that the 115-150HP class is just starting to get more popular. A lot of people can't afford and don't want to turn loose of 52K for a new boat as much anymore. I would love to have a cougar or Puma but when I get ready to buy again I may look at a Sabre with a 150 or maybe even a Margay with a 115. Less fuel consumption pulling the boat and running the boat.


But back to the original question at hand. It's tough to perfect upon something already perfect!

I'm with you H20. I'm seriously considering a Sabre with a 150 for my next boat. The Margay???...well I think it might be not quite enough to handle Kentucky Lake all that well. Could be wrong, though.

Here is the deal.....I had a p2 and it was just not enough room for someone else and me.....that is just how i felt.....so i built a big shop and now i have the room to fit a bigger boat.....That is what i want......a sabre is an awesome and fun boat and so was my p2.......but i just want a bigger boat and i can get what i want so thats what i did.

to each his own, I can get what I want too but I aint gonna be crazy and spend that kind of money on one, heck there are 25' offshore boats with toilets and junk in em selling for the same price haha

To each his own. If you have the space and funds, more power to you!!!!!! I wanted a cougar for the longest time but considering garage space, initial costs, and operating and maintenace costs my Classic is the perfect boat for me.

What I love about my antique PII is the open space in front of the console. I put all the other persons stuff there and it's tucked neatly out of the way. If I'm by myself that's where my cooler of cold drinks and food goes. I use my built in cooler for my trash can usually.
