Of course I talk to myself...sometimes I need expert advice.
I just finished pulling the reed block. Wasnt hard at all. Took 40 mins to get it out. Im going to see Don tomorrow and get the reeds and gaskets and get her put back together. Then I will take it to the dealer to get the oil prime sequence done with their computer and hopefully she will run better. I had 8 reeds broken or chipped badly. Im searching for the broken pieces now.
Are you replacing them with carbon fiber reeds? I have to do a reed replacement too and was wondering if I should go to the OEM reeds or something like Boyson?
What are your guys thoughts?
If you go carbon fibre I like TDR's better than Boysen. TDR Tony Dukas Racing I find seal better
We make a reed specific for the 3.0 Opti that will not run it lean,do a search on hear(BBC) for reeds or reed and you can read some comments on our reeds,Chris Carson,CCMS Custom Reeds.
