Fished Belva Deer last weekend (August 1 - 2). My thumb is still recovering. The bite friday was awesome. Black & Blue chatterbait, buzzbait, crankbait, worms.... they all worked. Fish had moved away from the weedbeds into the tree lines way back in the refuge area. Any clump of trees with moss around them was simply guaranteed to hold a bass. Did pick up a few from the weedbeds but the majority were in the sticks. Had a blast! Had a few that would've kept so that's a good sign. Hopefully the quality will catch up with the quantity one of these years!!!
