    Fury Props performance.....

Can somebody give me some idea what to expect from the Fury? I have an opportunity to get one at a substantially discount, (not of the Five Finger) variety either! Just trying to figure out if I made the right decision. It is going on a 200 HP Merc., factory Gambler set back of 6". Is this prop going to need worked by Croxton to get the most out of it? What is the hole shot going to be like? Rough idea on top end numbers? Thanx in advance G-boaters!!

I'm thinking a 25 Fury for your setup. No need to have them worked as out of the box I have had great results.

How large of a prop are you turning? I bought a 26 pitch for mine. I figured that if I needed to I could go up or down 1 inch of pitch from there. How is your holeshot?

Every boat is different,i have tried everything from a tempest to a bravo and settled on a razor-4. It has given me my best speeds and great handling. I did run a fury and it would have been my second best overall prop. But lt depends on driving style, setup, and load. It should run great on your boat. Mine is a 97-209/250xb.

I'm running a 26 on the limiter (6100) @ 76mph. I think there is a couple more MPH in it but keep in mind I rarely fish out of this boat. Generally there is no TM or batteries on board. It FLYS the bow!

Interesting....I have all the fishing Goodies so to speak that came with the boat when I bought it. But, I have just 2 batteries. I was super light, less than 10 gallons of gas, trolly, 2 batts., me and my 135 lb. son. Once up on plane, I noticed that the bow would tend to fly. I also discovered CHINE WALK!!! This just SUCKED!! So...now I get to learn to drive the thing....AGAIN!

You know now that I think about it I did start to trim down a little and it started to disappear. Thanks for the thoughts.

The faster you go you will find you will need less trim input with the Fury.

Kinda like driving a tunnel boat.... once you hit that certian speed you transition from hydrodynamic lift to aerodynamic lift you actually start trimming down. My buddies STV with the 330+HP DRAG on it starts to lift like a mo fo right about 100. Pretty freaky if you don't bump the trim down.

I've been thinking about trying one of these Fury props in a 26p for my 209 w/200efi. Currently my 26p Trophy does great @ 78-79gps with just me and my fishing gear and 1/2 tank of fuel but if I have one of my buddies with me and tournament load then it's down to 70-73gps. The bow just wont come up and fly like it does a few hundres pounds lighter.

I Love the Fury! The bow on mine flies almost too much. I have a new learning curve with this prop. You live in Greenwood...Mo?, La?, If your in the Show Me state maybe we can get together and you can try mine out. If your close let me know.

    Actually, Greenwood, Indiana

My 26p Trophy lifts up the bow so much when I'm by myself that I feel like it's just gonna come out of the water and take off like a plane and fly but it's not like that with a partner and tournament load. I know it should react a little different with added weight but I was hoping the Fury prop would maybe carry the load better?
