My 2-year-old somehow got ahold of our cameraand took the lens cap off, then started drawing on the lens with a ballpoint pen.
What's the easiest way to get the ink off? Microfiber cloth and rubbing alcohol is one recommendation I found online, but I wanted to ask to be sure that won't hurt whatever coating the lens has. Thanks...
What lens, make, model, year (if possible) is it?

If it is not a nano coated lens etc, use a small dab of rubbing alcohol and a micro fiber cloth. Best thing I could find online as well.

It's a Nikkor AF-S 18-55mm, f/3.5-? lens. We bought it new earlier this year.
No coating to worry about, you should be good
