I have an 2004 250 HPDI/ 04 202 BLazer, I am fixing to have Hydrotec do this to my lower unit, would I need to change my current prop or anything once done? I have an 28 TXP/27 T1

What kind of RPM's are you turning now?
Usually when you do this mod you are able to raise the engine 2 to 3 inches if you have the HP? If that is the case you may need a bigger prop? The other thing you may consider is the fatshaft (heavy duty propshaft)? $850, included shaft, shaft brg, and brg carrier.
Best thing is to get the mod then make some runs. You may be able to have your props worked instead of having to buy new props.
I would think that you will see a speed improvment!!!
k great, but i should see speed improvement for sure right?
Where is your gear case now to the pad? Below, above and how many inches?
I had this mod done to my old Blazer. Although I didn't keep it but 1 or 2 runs after the mod, the boat handled WAAAAYYYY better and did pick up speed, due to being able to bump the motor up and still keep great water pressure..........![]()
Just watch NOT moving the motor up too high.....you will throw a big rooster tail, but not pick up any more speed, and you may lose some.
