The Hydoromotive Quad-IV's rock on a Bullet. My 28p has the best holeshot and is only 2mph from being the best topend prop on my 21XD.

That's a Quad IV-X-O/B. Can't beat em for all-around performance. Not a prop out there to beat them out of the hole; including a Bravo I, and although not the fastest prop out there, they are no slouch either. Like the man said, they come within 2-3 mph of my fastest prop, and that's plenty fast. Definitely my favorite load-carrying fishing prop.

    Re: (Blue Steel)

my 27 is great and will carry some weight, I really like it. fastest was a lab 26 trophy that still has a blade somewhere falling and its a weird feeling to have one sling at 80+ then to get a replacement and it sling a few months later, went thru 7 trophys until Hydro and DAH props were built but the Hydro runs best and a 26 TXP 4OT is close to trophy but doesn't carry the loaded weight as well.

    Re: 27 hydromotive (wiggleworm)

How would this prop perform on a 21XDC with a 2004 250XS? I have been running Trophies, but the blades will not hold up. What kind of speed can I expect with 2 people loaded and just me loaded? I am deciding between a Hydromotive or a Bravo 1.

    Re: 27 hydromotive (todd250)

your rev limiter is 5800 so I would say a 28-29 cause we have a guy w/ 21xd 2000 model ~ with 225 Opti turning a 28 to rev limiter.

I am running 1.62 gears in my 250xs. I would think a 27 or a 28 would be the correct pitch.

    Re: 27 hydromotive (Hydrilla)

I would go with the 27p with 1.62s.

    I run a 21XD with a 2004 250XS 28p Hydro, just under the limiter at 82mph ready to fish.

    Oh, I have 1.75 gears.

    Re: 27 hydromotive (PA Officer)

I can turn to 6000 (27 pitch) if needed, my gears (1:62) and rev limter 6300 so I I think a 28 would be almost perfect on a 5800 1:62 geared 2004 yr.
