    03 250 ox66

Hey guys my motor is idling ruff. It runs good the rest of the time. The first time I crank it, it idles fine. After that it just chugs. It hasn't gone dead yet but a couple of times it chugged and I put it in gear and it would die. But it would crank right back up. Don't know where to start. Any ideas?

I agree with Tom Z. These motors are excellent, but they need to be in tune for them to run well. The low pressure fuel pumps are common service items. One sneeze from the engine and they rupture. Best way to prevent sneeze is to make sure everything is right. I would also perform link and sync. Very easy to do. You can find a pdf OEM service manual on FeeBay for less than $20.

Learn how to do routine maintenance and this motor will treat you right. I have over 600 hours on mine, but it has taken some work to get there.

I went through this process last year with my OX66 and had it running amazing the second half of the season and this season its a beautiful thing again.

Start with the proper spark plugs........then report back.......
