Well I will tell you this I ordered mine blue printed. Have not open it up yet but I can tell you it seems to stick in turns alot better. Not sure if that is from the blueprinting but i would say it is worth it
Blue printing and sanding the pad are different.. When they blue print they turn the boat over and straight edge the chines and pad. Fill in any low spots and sand any high spots, the flatter the faster, all the chines are sharpened to make a crisp edge, especially the back lip that turns up the back of the boat.... Then sand the pad is to help create small bubbles to help break the pad free from the water so there is less friction which inturn becomes speed..
If ya decide to sand the pad I recomend ya give Paul a shout and get the correct method to do this, or maybe he will chime in here![]()

I've been told before that both only really help over 95 to 100
I heard that Red at the plant would do it for you

Just put a Merc on it. You will pick up more speed than sanding it.

I honestly dont think you would see much gain at all just by sanding the pad. If it were blue printed, you might see 1-1.5 mph with no load in the boat.

Thanks Marty....I'm glad you think it's a good combination, because I surely do. I have been getting compliment after compliment after I brought this jewel back from Arkansas.![]()
When Larry comes to Toledo Bend next spring, I'll show him what the Hammer is made of...![]()

That one is still one of my favorites of all time. It might have a twin if I were to ever order me a new one!!!!![]()
Lou was your old Bullet blue printed? What do they charge for this? Enrico
i dont think you will see no speed gains on a standard weight bullet, sanded or blue printed pad...when you go to comp weight it helps
This is one of the questions I had when I had my Blazer. My take is you may not see any real speed, but it may give you say .2mph. So if you do a few little speed tricks, those .2s add up. It always played on my mind so I just did all the little speed tricks I could so I didn't have to wonder. Did it make a difference? I don't know but my Blazer did run VERY WELL.![]()

No it wasn't.. I tried sanding the pad some but didn't notice any gains.. Not gonna say it hurt anything to do..![]()

well, i'm sure most replys are correct, but in my case i gained 3 mph with no other changes, but keep in mind mine was running about 12 mph slower than most others with the same setup? and i'm still about 8 or 9 mph slower? i'm still looking for it? my pad did have a bad "dip" in the pad so by blocking it and leveling the glass out it really helped mine. each one is a little different and i would not have believed it either until we tried it, so unless you do something wrong it wouldn't hurt to try, if you are just 1 or 2 mph slower than others set up like yours, then you may only gain 1/2 mph but every little bit helps.
