    South Toledo Bend

    Got pics working on it
Stayed at brother in laws camp and fished fri and sat.
Launched on Texas side out of Sam Force Collins
1st day ran channel by dam tore up 30 bass schooling
Mixed with I think hybrid stripers
40ft water about 5 ft to 10 ft down max
Then went to Louisiana islands fished trees near it same thing
Hybrid stripers and 15" to 20" bass.

    Saturday
Fished grass by the dam and one 20" bass on worm
Then went back to trees by Louisiana Islands and worked on jig
fishing. Got board after only catching 3 small bass.
Fished the schooling hybrid stripers mixd with bass on strike king red eye shad
Had more fun catching 15" to 20" bass. Were in 40 ft of water but bass maybe about 10th to top of water.

Brother in law dock where is the water?

SRA Pleasure Point landing where is the water?

Sam Force Collins Landing Texas side

Landing dad's boat at Sam Force Collins Texas side
(too scared to take my boat didn't want to damage it)
(Did see people launch larger fiberglass boats and pontoons don't know how much longer you can launch a larger boat here)

1st day bass averaged this size schooling by the dam
(Taken by Louisiana Island but caught by the dam)

2nd day this average bass mixed with hybrids by Louisiana Islands

Little bream thinking he was a bass

One of my go to baits for the schooling bass and white bass, yellow bass or hybrid striper. Kind of looked like big bar fish to me.
    go

To me I don't know you, but the weather was nice.

    Re: South Toledo Bend (jlsch1)

I wore them out saturday afternoon 3-5:30 on a little hump off of an unmarked roadbed. 30-40 on the biggest H2O crankbait, blue back/charturse side, orange throat. Today only 5 wanted the big crankbait, but 20 others wanted a redbug worm. All caught out of the kayak in San Miguel.
Friday afternoon late, caught maybe 20 on DD14 not far from Big Bass.
Didn't tear anything up except my thumb!!

If we don't get any rain to speak of soon, a kayak or pirogue is all anybody will be able to use.

I was joking with my neighbor about hitting things underwater with the kayak leaving the cove. It's sad to see it so low.

If they don't get any rain up you probably could hit the bottom of your kayak leaving the cove.

At least i could use a ladder to finish running a water line to my fish cleaning station. I had to cut the grass first!! I"m not sure if i can throw fish carcasses far enough to hit the water though!!
    I"ll post some pics tomorrow.
