P175TLRT 25T1 prop fitment question.

Hi guys I just recieved a 15 1/4" 25P T1 Vmax Series 3 blade prop from a friend but when its on the gearcase the blades will hit the trim tab. Thankfully I looked at this before I fired up the motor and put it in gear. Is there another trim tab that I can try or is the diameter of the prop just too big?? My friend was running the prop on a 200 HPDI so I thought that it would fit. The prop that is currently on the boat is a 13 3/4" 26P Turbo 4 blade that fits and passes the trim tab with lots of clearance.

Cut the fin off of yours with a hack saw/saws all. Or buy the flat one to replace yours with. I think the T1 is the wrong prop for your small block 175. The 25M Pro Series is a better choice.

I agree with everything Mike said.

But at the same time I'd love to hear how it compares to a 25M since you and I have almost the same boat/motor.

Funny things happen sometimes and you never know .... but I believe the M will work better for you.

I have a TZX 190 with 175 HPDI. 25m worked by Mark runs pretty well.

25 T1 (needs to be worked) boat handles a little better than the M and 1 mph slower. I think this will outshine the M after worked.

Also have a 24 razor 3. Was ready to sell until I figured out this prop likes to run deeper (more stern lift I guess) Best handling prop, fewer rpms than the other 2, same speed as the T1. Probably will swap to a 23.
