    Oil problem I think?

I was running across the lake the other day and noticed that my oil light was on the yellow part. Not the green and not the red. So I stoped and turned the outboard off and looked and saw plenty of oil in the main tank. I pulled the cowling and had 3/4 full on that tank. So i went on my day of fishing but only running the boat around 3000 rpms. So I went to the ranger store and bought my oil and filled up the tank. So I have the tank 100 percent full and the tank under the engine cover full (between the lines). But still I have the yellow light on. What could be the Problem? The only thing that I did was hold up the emergence switch to pump the oil to the motor tank. So the pump works and both tanks are full. I'm lost!

It could be as simple as cleaning the sensor in the remote tank. Try that first. Just remove it and wipe it off and see if that fixes it.
