    Offshore drilling ban lifted!

    I just heard this on the radio, from Washington, ban on offshore drilling is lifted! I hope this is true, Its great if so.

    Just saw it on Fox News. It is lifted, but with all the new regulations and inspections, it will be a few weeks before drilling will resume.

    It was on about 30 minutes ago. Wonder if having an election in three weeks had anything to do with it.

    From what i read, it hasnt lifted yet but is set to expire on NOV 30th??? Am i right or wrong????

    It was set to expire in November. They announced today that all the regulations are in place so they lifted it early. The rigs can start drilling after complying with the new regulations. One of the new regulations is that that they have to prove that they can handle a worst case spill. Good luck on that one.

    Dont you fellas Find it Wierd that when a HURRICANE hits Gas prices Go SKY high, The reason they give is for Lack of Drilling and Lower production levels....... HMMMMMMMMMMM. How long has this Drilling Ban been gooing on! Since APRIL! and Gas Prices have stayed Relitively LOW? ???????????

    2.70 here!!!! relatively low is around $2 for me!!!

    2.70 is LOW compared to 5 bucks a gallon that it was gettin to a few years ago!
