Can anybody tell me where this wire connects....I recently repowered and have not been able to see where this connects to the engine.... Does it simply just connect to the block?
Thanks as always....

Is this from a temp guage in the dash?
Then it will depend on the manufacture of the guage as to where it attaches, most have a bracket that attaches to one of the head bolts and it holds the sensor against the cylinder head.
Rusty,
What is the ideal temp range for the Fichts and ETECs? I would like to mount one on mine and want to know what the redline is.

I do not use nor would I suggest an after market temp guage because they are not very reliable, if you need a temp guage check out the I-Command series guages offered by BRP.![]()

You mentioned that a sensor gets attached to the block. Is there and OMC P# for this sensor? I always assumed that you just connected the wire to the block and it in turn used resistance to measure temp?
Thanks,
Tim
I don't have a part number for the sensor but it comes in the water temp guage kit from BRP.
It also comes with a flat piece of metal that attaches under one of the head bolts.
No wonder my motor shows it runs so cool.....![]()
