I am a sugar cane farmer, and we are only half way done planting. We are most usually done about the second or third week in August. With all the rain we have been having, and Gusto the terrible it has put us way behind. Now the crop is all screwed up, and we are going to have to cut it with the combine to plant it. Harvesting is supposed to start around Sept 29th, and with all the work we have to do I don't know how we are going to make it in time. Not to mention all the sheet metal, trees, and debris that are in the field now.
