    Misfire problem 2007 150VMAX carb

Took the boat out today and noticed a problem right out of the chute. Was slow to plane out do to rpms not coming up like usual and would only get to 5000rpm on top end. You could feel it "hit" for a second every now and then but just wouldn't let it fly. Pulled the plugs out and the center plug on the drivers side is wet. All others are dry. Could it just be a fouled plug on that cylinder or something else to look for? I would like to check the coil if someone could tell me how if you can with an ohm meter. Thanks!

Check your low pressure fuel pumps. They are the same units as used on Ox66 engines http://www.bbcboards.net...-pump

Im fairly certain its not fuel pumps since the cylinder in question is "wet" suggesting it is getting fuel.

I have an '04 that does this periodically. You just fouled a plug. Put a new set of plugs in it and it will be back to normal.

    Maybe!

Just a fouled plug, Thats my bet. When mine fouled, I could not tell what one it was since they all looked the same.

Changed all plugs plus the coil on the cylinder that looked funny all with no luck. I took it in to the Emergency Room at Airport Marine yesterday. Ill let everyone know what it turns out to be.

Got yourself a carb problem. Maybe had some dirty gas. Do you have a fuel-water seperator on that prior to the fuel filter on the motor? I had the same problem on my old 1990 150 proV. Clean the carbs and you'll back up and running.

Yes on the fuel/water filter(yamaha 10 micron). It was replaced in March. Ring free and Stabil marine have been used religiously. Had about a quarter tank that was 2 months old in it and I filled it on up before we left.
