In a Class 6A battle many believe could determine the winner of the Wichita City League this season, the Wichita Heights Falcons (2009 state 6A runners-up) defense shut out Bishop Carroll 21-0.
This is exciting for me because my son played Defensive End on the first Heights team to ever win the City League back in 2001.

Heights always seems to have a good team. When JC beat them out of the playoffs last year, I think that was the best team we saw all year. Some of thier players were undiciplined (attitudes, personal fouls, etc), but they were beast!!!
On another note, I am kinda wondering how JC is going to be this year. We won 14-7 over Shawnee Heights, We had a ton of missed opportunities and our guys were undiciplined too! Heights RB is a stud....IDK if Heights is pretty good or JC isn't. We'll see.

As a graduate of Rockhurst, let's give them some credit for beating Hutchinson. We got smoked last year, but pulled out a tough fought victory this year. As a resident of Kansas, I'm all for kicking the crap out of Missouri schools, except THE ROCK!
Has Rockhurst won a title recently? I know when I was in HS, early 2000's, they won a couple. They were real tough. Didn't know if they were still a title competetor? Hutch is rediculous! They blasted everyone last year....
Hutch didn't blast Olathe North in the 2003 State Championship.... I know; I'm livin in the past
