1999 yamaha vmax lower unit lube

i have a 99 vmax and when i was winterizing it in november i drained the lower unit and put mercury lower unit lube in it....when i was putting it in i pumped the whole bottle into it but still didn't fill it up to where it was coming out the top hole.......should i b fine or should i get another bottle and top it off? dont have my owners manual so i dont know how much it holds.....thanks weidner21

First off, you can probably use the links pinned at the top of the page to download a manual in pdf format. Secondly, I'd be sure it has the correct amount of fluid, which is probably around 39 ounces, before you run the engine.

but go top it off

Mine is a 07' 150VMAX and holds just over a quart. 33.13 oz. I believe it is. Pump till it runs out of the top hole.
