Does this motor have a manual choke??? I can't find one and was wondering. It is pretty cold and I am fishing this weekend and I am trying to avoid any issues.

Turn the key on, count to five, then start it. I think it will start right up. Do you normally have problems starting it?
No, I just got it last summer and it is a used model. I didn't know if I could have trouble because of the cold weather and it sitting since November.
Make sure you pump the fuel bulb until it's firm. Turn the key to the "on" position and wait until the warning lights go out, then start it. It should start right up. Let it warm up before you put it in gear.

that is correct ox66 is a efi engine, pump bulb and turn key period!![]()
Skeeters have a "oil light" I wait till it goes off before I start my engine.I've never had to pump the bulb.I'm referring to a 2000 VMAX
everyone would save them selves alot of problems if they would just prime there bulbs. it should be rigged with enough slack so you can turn thebulb so the arrow points straight towards sky.do this every time first thing in the morning every time you go out before initial start-up.you would be amazed at how many times you'll find a busted are torn diaprahm by doing this also. its there for a reason use it![]()
On my 99'Vmax ox66 the key has to be pushed in while turning for the choke. I never have to pump the bulb no matter how long its been since its been used,1 week or 1 month.

Nope... The key will push in, But there is no choke to "choke"But if it makes you feel like it starts better/faster------- Keep on doing it.

Dude seriously, I'd like to know what you consider cold......![]()
My motor has popped off perfect both times I've been out this year, saturday it was 9, yes, 9 degrees out and my motor started perfect, first turn of the key, ran great all day long. I believe it was mid 20's the first time out this year, the first time I turned the key in about 4 months, again first turn of the key and I was good to go. Does help to have good batteries with a good CCA.
I always give my motor a minimum of 5 minutes to warm up, I probably gave it 10 this weekend, and I never worried once about it.![]()
