What is Yamaha doing now?.....RPM range 150 VMAX carb

Yamaha has listed the rpm range on their website as 5000-6000. Now, it shows 4500-5500. Why can't they make their mind up? http://www.yamaha-motor.com/ou....aspx

I propped mine per the manual when I first got my boat....4500-5500. Then I noticed the website said 5000-6000. I finally heeded every ones advice including Yamaha (spoke with them over the phone about the manual vs. web site rpm range) and re-propped it to 5000-6000. Now they change it(web site) again. I don't plan on changing again but this really gives me a bad feeling. I hope they honor the warranty if it goes poof!

good question mine revs too about 5600 ??keep us informed

In winter, i can get up to 6K. Summer is around 5700. No problems. Of course with gas $$ now, i don't want to see 6K.

No worries... If yamaha did not want it to run past 5500, The limiter would be at 5600 instead of 6200.

thats what I'm thinking
