I just bought a new Yamaha Pro Tach and it hss to be set to the number of poles on the magneto...4 pole, 6 pole or 8 pole.
The question I have for the experts is:
How many magneto poles are on a 2003 two stroke Yamaha 115 TLRB?

Here you go, should be able to make it out. This is the back of my gage for a 115 yamaha 2 stroke. Mine is on the 6P

Just to make it searchable...
2003 Yamaha 115 2 stroke outboard
Teleflex Tach setting is 6 p
Yamaha Pro series tachometer setting is 12 p.
Not sure why the difference other than to confuse us all but there it is.
