My '03 225 has about 175 hours. I don't run very far to fish. It's not because the lakes are small, it's because gas is too derned expensive.

The average engine will have around 50-75 hours a year if used 2-3 times a week. Just FYI.

Sorry I can't help you with yearly avg. hours, I did read somewhere one time what was thought to be an avg. per year, but that's kinda like the old 15,000 miles a year average for a car. Some people put more and some do less... But, 500 hours for an 03 seems like a lot of hours. I would seriously check that motor out before I bought it...
I'll bet that that boat was owned by a local tournament fisherman or someone that liked to troll.
