What'd he do, photoshop his computer screen print out?
i know a guy here thats runnin the new Z520 and he is getting that kind of speed out of it........as far as i know its not the same hull as the older 520s id say 73 should be easy to get with a 250 on it
anything's possible. Perhaps set the gps down the highway??????![]()
The 225 HO is a wolf in sheep's clothing w/ a lot of torque, so they perform well on heavier rigs. It might be possible by yourself, loaded very light in cool weather and water close to sea level w/the right prop. I think Tim could hit 70 in his rig by himself as it ran I think 66 or so with both of us in it according to my handheld gps.
I've done 73 GPS in a Ranger http://www.bbcboards.net...25521

guess i read it wrong but the Etec is a stronger motor than a lot of people give it credit for
I don't care!I know what mine will and will not do! Some people just get lucky with strong motors, and good set ups. Some don't take the time to set them up properly to run at their real capability. Some don't care as long as they are on the water. I learned long ago not to argue with someone about boat speeds. I do find it amuzing when I pass a guy going 70 who claims he can run 75.

yep what diffrence does it make really......if its someone like a friend or whatever then its jsut fin ribbin them a little but if they can run 90 in a Ranger i dont really care i know what mine does and thats more than good enough for me.....i would probably get more out of mine if i messed with it but it runs good enough for me and thats all that matters and gets me from point A to B with no problems......i dont need to say that someone can or cant run a certin speed thats faster than someone just to stroke my ego........unless its Tyson of course![]()

Who cares as long as your on the water fishing. Getting from point A to B is what its all about anyway. You can talk about 1-5 MPH differences in speed all ya want, thats not much of a diff in speed even on the water.
I know people talk about slow Rangers and all but I tell ya what the 521 and the Z520 will flat get down the lake with the right engine.

Thats the difference between Speedo Speed and GPS Speed !
