    V Max 150 Carb

I have an zx 185c skeeter w/ an 1999 V Max 150 Carb the problem is that when i go to start the motor after priming the bubble hard as possible. when i press the choke in on the key i can here the choke solnoid pull in but the engine will not fire up but when i pull the manual choke out it will fire right up and run perfect. So what is the problem guys? It has me baffled.

You can adjust that electric choke. I don't remember how it is done but someone will come along soon that can help ya.

get some carb cleaner in a aresol can and clean everything up on the out side of the carbs if it still wont start then loosen the bolts that hold the choke solenoid and slide it away from the plungger a few thousandths of an inch then tighten up the bolts and it should work

there should be a mark on the side of plunger that lines up with the top of the solenoid, you losen the screw that holds the solenoid to adjust. had same problem this is the solution

what they all said, you can adjust your solenoid to where the key choke will close the choke off about as much as the manual choke will. Its greatly improved mine, but I still every so often have to use the manual choke. Something else that really seems to work is holding the key choke in for at least 8 seconds before you even start to crank the motor. This is the technique the owners manual says to use and it does help.
