ok people its christmas and I'm doing gas testing expirements in my shed My family lives in CA and my wifes in FL and daughter is at ex-inlaws house and I am bored.....So I google ethanol testing come up with this .. I take some gas out of my mower which is 93 octane because my wifes car takes 93 and i took it to the gas station last time I filled up my gas jug for mower .My boat has a buch of startron and stabil in it so I didnt test it. (yet) Here are a few pics of my expirement.

I marked the water line before I added the gas. The picture is of the bottle right after I added the gas before shaking it up. Looks a little cloudy under the line but thats it.

Clearly you can see the water line rose after I shook it up and let it settle for a beer lenghts time....Now this really pisses me off because none of the pumps in Elizabethtown are labeled ethanol and all this time I beleived I have been using ethanol free gas in my boat Of course all my expirement really proves is that my mower has ethanol gas in it from the BP by my house. But I'm still pizzed..I have lost all faith in mankind and my christmas spirit
