    Fact or Fiction??

I have heard that Amish People have a keen sense of where to find fish. As the legend goes, they can zone in on an exact area that is full of fish...and catch-able fish at that. Does anyone have any first hand knowledge or experiences that would either validate or disprove this?

My experience with the Amish is that they can catch every fish in a pond, that is, if their net is long enough to stretch all the way across it!

I fished with an Amish guy once, he showed me features on my depth finder that I never knew existed! As for repayment, I went to his house and fixed his washing machine.

Wounder why you always see them trolling on Barren? And if they see someone catching fish they are like Locus !
On Barren its FALSE in my observations. But they do keep what ever they catch, no matter the size.
I have towed two different ones back to the ramp, one ran out of gas, other ones engine quite on him.

It's hilarious to see big 4x4 farm trucks pulling 12' or shorter semi-vee rigs. The last time I was on Barren I delivered a 35' Myacht houseboat, the parking area had 5-6 black F250 4x4's with little trailers, several young girls with long dresses and a few boys with suspenders watchin' their dad troll fer dinner/supper They scattered like mosquitos when I backed that houseboat off the trailer

There have been some VERY funny replies to this post, but nothing that disproves or validates the theory. Surely someone has has first hand experience that they are willing to share.

but whats really strange is when you see a $40K bass boat being pulled by a horse and buggy!! Not real sure where the loop hole is that allows this one to take place, but my brother lives up in michigan right near a big amish community and its a regular sight up there for the horse and buggy to be pullin shiny bass boats with outboards behind them.

I have a several Amish friends as do my kids. Never seen any special fishing or hunting ability out of them. No Roland Grabers, so to speak. They have more spare time than I do, so they probably have more time to fish.

Took one guy out on West Boggs a few years back in my boat. I wish I had a picture of that You should have seen the look in his eyes when he hit the throttle Just like a kid. Of course you could probably say the same thing about anybody the first time they drop the hammer on a big outboard.

Hey John its not true I been trying to catch fish for years with the last name of Yoder. I am getting ready to head down to the Moores resort now as my horse and buggy don't make very good time, but gets great gas mileage,
