    Gas $ in Louisville

This is just getting out of hand. WTF!!!!! I left for work this morning and gas was 3.35. After I left for lunch it was 3.69!!! How the hell and what the hell causes that? Our economy is already struggling to stay afloat, the dollar is getting weaker by the minute and almost all Americans are spending the last bit of their disposable income on freaking gas!!! You have to think twice before driving to the damn store now.

All while this is happening, the major oil companies are reporting record setting profits increasing by the month and they are feeding us this line of chit that it is all about supply and demand!!!!! What yields?

I haven't heard one of the politicians running for the presidency say a word about what they can do to help reduce gas prices either! Probably because they are like Bush and have the hands in that pot as well.

I put $50 in the truck yesterday and just had to put another $65 a few minutes ago.

There's pretty much nothing a politician can do about the prices of gas in a free society like ours. If you do then you're pushing the lines of socialism which we can't do obviously and if you do want that then vote for Hillary and you'll get your wish . The record profits are simply because we use more gas today than at any other time in history and the high prices are for the same reason and China, India's economy's are exploding plus the moron's at OPEC won't produce more. We had a grand opportunity to produce and use our own with the oil field found in Alaska but the tree hugger's reunion in Washington put a stop to that(thanks Ted Kennedy just for being who you are ). The prices of gas SUCK and it's hurting everyone but the truth is we really can't do anything about it.

Supposedly they just found what is supposed to be one of the largest oil fields in the world somewhere in Wyoming, if I remember right. Hopefully the tree hugger's won't shut that down too but even if they don't it'll take a few years for have an impact.

Gas consumption from January of 07 to January 08 actually went down by 3% in America. I think the politicians can do something but just will not. They all have their hands in that $$ in some way not to mention the countries that we import oil from pay a part of the USA's debt each year as we continue to import their oil.

Gas prices are pure BULLCHIT!!!!! I've been looking at buying a fiberglass boat with a 150/200 HP and now I'm starting to shy away. The Tracker with a 60 won't get me there first but it is alot better on gas, not to mention burning less in the truck pulling it.

I fish out of a Tracker and I can tell you the fuel economy of that boat is nothing but love. I can fish Dale Hollow from Horse Creek to Sulphur 2 straight days on less than 12 gallons of gas and maybe 2 quarts of oil!!

I hear you guys! That's part of the reason I can't make the rally - actually, I'm considering selling the Ranger and the F150! It sucks, but what good is it to have a boat, if I can't reasonably afford to use it - and why have a gas guzzler of a pickup if I don't have a boat?

Boy, I know how you feel with these prices! I fill up at around 120.00 every week and a half. The diesel gets great mileage for a truck, but it still hurts come fill up time. Fuel for the truck is 3.89-4.39 a gallon around here.

Re: Gas $ in Louisville (RangerRodney)

I hate when I have to fill my tr21x however I'll say this, with the E-tec 225HO I'm glad it's on the back of my boat. Driven right I can fish from paris landing and make a run to ken lake and all spots in between several times and still have plenty of gas. next Time i fill up I'm going to keep a log of how far I run and all trips I make before I have to fill up again. Actually the gas prices aren't killing me when it comes to the boat. What's killing me is my tow vehicle going to and from the lake.
