If you think fishing is expensive....

Try going back to college...Damn!@!@!@!!!!... I just spent 450.00 on books and all but one class were bought used from individuals...I probably did not spend that much in all 4 years @ Morehead, but that was a loooong time ago...

All I know is I just spent over 1500.00 and I did not get one dang thing that I can bolt onto my boat!!!!!!

But hopefully, this will let me get where I need to get my life...BTW...I am going to get my RN...I want to be work in trauma...

What's the deal Russ? You see all the free time that Daniel has and figure that was the only way to get to fish as much as you want to? Good luck with the education and future job search!

Been wanting to be a paramedic for a while, but once I really decided to look into it, I was at the age that I thought working ER trauma as an RN may be a better situation for me...There are just so many ways I can go as an RN, that it just makes sense...I will still keep the painting/construction business too, just have someone else working for me...

I feel your pain! Been there, graduated that! Enjoy doing your homework! Ha ha ha! $1500 sounds like a deal...for what I owe to U of L and Murray, I could easily be the owner of a brand new fully rigged Z22 and then some! Consider yourself lucky...for now anyways!

Look at the bright side..at least you won't have to spend all that money and time on fishing now....

Too bad you can't join the College Bass Fishing thing...they discriminate against old people.

Seriously, good luck with your new direction in life....I admire a person that sets their goal and goes after it rather than wishing they had.

Russ it's probably too late for this semester, but next time, unless you want to keep the books for reference after your course work is done, check the texts out of the library. Simply renew them when they are due. If you can't renew them, just keep them, turn them in when you are done, pay the overdue fine...that fine will be a lot less than what the books cost. I did that when I went to college...my daughters both did that when the were in college also.

That's great Russ that your going back to school! It is expensive but your making an investment in your future which is a LOT different than buying fishing equipment!

    Good Luck!

Stick with it! It's a great field and plenty of jobs. Plus, you may have a job like me and be off 3 or 4 days a week and get to fish during the week!
