DOES IT EVER END??? VENT!!

Wednesday evening I take my boat over to my dealer to get the motor worked on (AGAIN). I drop it off in his very small parking lot and he was going to work on it Thursday. Thursday afternoon he calls me and tells me I'm ready to go. When I go pick it up it is raining. I hook up, go pay the bill, and take off. I get home park it in the driveway and unhook. This evening I go outside to hook back up to the boat and go get gas and get ready to go fishing tomorrow. As soon as I look at my boat I see 2 4" scratches that are about a 1/4" tall at the back port side of my boat? WTF?? Now these aerent just little scratches, they have taken the Gelcoat COMPLETLY off and down to the fiberglass!!!!!! I am so ticked off right now I could scream. Sure this is a 10 year old boat, but the gelcoat was previously in almost showroom condition.. Plus the corner of my taillight is broken off and missing..This dealer just primarely just does enging work and is not a big boat seller. What I can figure is some AZZHOLE backed into it and took off.. I dont know what else could of happened... what would you guys do?? Call the dealer and complain??

You betcha!!! I would be on the horn to that dealer in heartbeat!! I don't know what he will do, if anything, but you will feel better.

From the description of the damage you might want to take it have it checked out further....it could have structural damage you are not aware of....obviously unless you stopped somewhere on the way home or your better half did not hit it, then it was done at the dealer and he is responsible for it...period.

Nope I went straight home and parked it. There was no way anyone could have came close to it at my house. We have a seperate pad of concrete that I park it on..

Go back to the dealers parking lot and look for evidence. Your broken tail light pieces, gel coat on someones skeg or whatever else in the lot that is the right height to have caused the scratches.
