    Gas mileage on a 300 Pro-Max

I need to run a total of 80 miles,on a thirty-six gallon tank. I'm hoping if I run 4500 rpms. I'll make it. I've never pushed it that far before and was wondering if the sweet spot if there is one on this motor may be different.

On my 300x, sweet spot is around 4200-4600 so your right there. just take an extra 5 gallon jug for insurance sake and added peace of mind.

That's what I'll probally do Gary. I can't get 93 octane on the river. I do not want to run 87 from a marina that's half-way,even for a short run. I'm guessing 2.5 mpg is the best I could hope for.

I'm lucky to get 1.5 mpg with twins, I usually burn 18 to 20 gph per motor at cruise. I would love to get 2.5 mpg.

I hope so, I'm really tired of spending money on it. Its a 31ft cc on a tunnel hull, turning 24p Bravo 1 props. I have one motor in break in mode so after this weekend and next I should be able to run it a little harder.

Don, will do. I am going to be Grouper and King hunting this weekend and next, thanks to you and your parts dept. I will get them to you after Easter.
Thanks again for your help and advice, it would have been a tough(er) road without it
