DB 42 Problems

I've had these brakes for the last four years, and while they are easy to work on, they are a pain cause they it seems like three times a season something breaks on them or i cant reverse...Yesterday i got home, went to back up into the drive way and the breaks locked up, the twist top manual overide never works, it just snaps back into place as soon as i go in reverse. i'm pretty sure the actuator is getting juice and i just replaced the ground last month.

As i was lookig at the brakes, the right side retaining wire was broken off again and the spring clips were broken again. I have backups, but how long do these systems last for you. I think i've gone through 4 sets of pads and counntless sets of spring clips and retaining wires...

Should i bother fixing them again? I ready to just get rid of the brakes alltogether. Any suggestions?

ok, i was wrong the acutator is not geting juice because my reverse light fuse was blown. So this leads me to more trailer problems as this used to happen all the time with my old truck, but this is the first time it happened with my new truck. What can cause me to blow my reverse light fuse?

i just read this, and how do i actually do it?

"Most likely the solenoid wire has gotten chaffed inside the actuator, remove the inner member and inspect the blue wire and how it is routed"
