    Winch Replacement

I searched and didn't find an answer so...

I have a new winch and bow roller/stop on the way for my trailer. (the old one's gears are mashed up and the stop is cracked) I'm going to replace it with the boat on the trailer in the garage. Any tips or tricks anyone would care to share? Thanks.

Not tips or tricks to it. Just unbolt the old ones and install the new ones. The boat will not move. If your winch and stop mount is bolted to the center frame with "U" clamps, you can loosen them up and slide the whole thing back to give you some more room if you want.

Your stop roller might be tight depending how tight you put the boat to it. you might have to throw a shoulder into the bow to get weight off and remove the bolt.

I figured it was pretty straight forward. Got the new stuff today and will put them on tonight. Thanks for the replies. Btw- I love this site.
