    Bearing/Grease Question

    Need some input here guys.

I replaced my bearings/seals a while back and the install went easy.

The only problem now is that I have had to put grease in the bearings about four times. I don't understand where the grease is going. It's not coming out all over the rims or around the back seal.

I have trailer buddies with the blue indicators and it seems to me that I have to always put more grease in them to keep them properly greased.

Any ideas on what is going on?

Did you hand pack the bearings?....no grease comming out of the rear seal?....If the answer is yes, you may still have some air in the hub. Pump grease in untill the blue indicator is sticking out about 1/8 to 1/4 inch. When the hub is properly pressurized, the inducator should stay out.

Yes, I hand packed the bearings. The grease indicator pops out like it is suppose to, then one trip to the lake and it is back in. I'm lost, b/c like I said their is no grease on the rim or back seal.

It's normal, it is just air pockets working their way out. Should stop after a few trips and fill normal.
