    Swing away Tounge ??

I just bought a new house and the garage is smaller than my current. How much room does a swing away tounge save me? Can I buy a brand new swing away Triton trailer to match and about how much / where? Thanks

Call Robbie at Bunch Marine (they're a sponsor here) and have him measure one for you. I would think it would save you about a foot and a half.

Pretty sure a swing-a-way can be added. That would be much cheaper than a new trailer.

I would say..it depends. I just installed one of the do-it-yourself swing away tongue kits on my EZ Loader. The kits say it will save you 21"...but that depends on how your trailer is configured. With mine it only saved me about a foot. Luckily that was all I needed, but now my trailer tongue is longer so a little harder to back in.

When you add a swing away tongue, you'll have to have a method of flaring brake lines if your trailer has brakes. You will have to add a flexible hose to your rigid brake lines where the hinge point is. Without a flaring tool, you'll have leaks and brake loss. I think you can rent (can definately buy) them at AutoZone or a like establishment. Then you just need the rubber lines (buy one with fittings already installed) and fittings for each end.
