reverse lamp fuse brakes locking

I am having a problem with the reverse fuse blowing, 2004 titan and a 2004 e z loader trailer. I had the trailer checked at the end of the season for a short they claim nothing is wrong. However the fuse continues to blow when I back up does not seem to be water related. Drove home 3 hours the other day from the lake backup worked when I left the lake fuse was blown when I got home. I changed it three times trying to back the boat in the driveway. It blew 3 times in 5minutes. Could there be something wrong with the truck, wiring harness is factory? Do I need a bigger fuse for brakes when trailering?

You have a reverse light wire going to ground some where on the trailer, if it does not blow without the boat hooked up. I would check the blue wire that goes to the reverse solenoid first. It should be located on the back of your trailers master cylinder. Do not add a bigger fuse, this will really cause you problems, like fire or burned up wiring. You current fuse will handle the boat trailer, just find where the reverse wire is touching the frame. Look close where it comes though a hole in the trailer or makes a bend somewhere.

Most likely the solenoid wire has gotten chaffed inside the actuator, remove the inner member and inspect the blue wire and how it is routed..
