I have a new actuator I need to install in my 2005 Rangertrail. I'm just curious on how you bleed the brakes once I install the new one and if there are any little tricks I should know before tackling this project. Thanks
Chris

What brand of actuator is on there?....
Good question. Whatever came with a 2005 Ranger trailer I guess. I'll have to do some checking. I got the replacement straight from Ranger.
LOOK on the top of the actuator...by law, the mfg has to put their name and the weight ratings on the actuator housing...that may give you a clue as to what your towing with and your legal responsiblities....dont be guessing when your life could be endangered...Towing a boat brings on many PERSONEL RESPONSILITIES, so you better know what your equiptment is and what you could be liabel for....do some research....or just call me...I dont mean to be so forthwrite, but I see too many fellow boaters running into BIG problems that they really dont need to have because they dont know or dont want to research what they are doing..again , sorry to rant...
I have no problem researching it. I just wasn't home to get it right away. Now that I am at home I can tell you what Ranger sent me. It says:
TDE Model LP7000
SAE Class IV
Max GVWR 7500 lbs.
I just assumed that if I told Ranger what trailer I had (single or double axle) and the year they would send me an actuator that would work. Will this one work??? I don't blame you for ranting, I'm sure you see a lot of dumb stuff done on a regular basis. I'm not one of those people and that's why I'm asking how to do this. Thanks.![]()
my apology's for ranting.....see the "tde"....it's a Tie Down Engineering actuator....I cant help you with that one...sorry...
