Don-question about the rebuild kit -pulse pump on proxs

Instructions say:preparation, when replacing rubber check valve retainer with nylon check valve retainer.Retainer holes in fuel pump body must be drilled out to .125 in. (3.18mm) diameter and hole edges chamfered. It says to discard old rubber retainers.
If the drilling part isnt to bad i will just do it while apart.i will just drill holes out and clean up the edges.Chamfer them.

Will T-tape work on the brass type fitting going back into the fuel filter tank?

Thanks Don for the fast shipping and parts. Even though one fuel line hose was 1-1/2" short? on my order. lol. I havent started the job yet so I'll see how it all goes.I over measured the lines just in case. lol. thanks bill

Don't use T-tape on the fuel fittings. Teflon paste and don't overdo it. Don't want any getting into the fuel lines.

When I rebuilt my pulse pump the hole they say to drill out to 1/8" was already 1/8".

Thanks...I have both t-tape and paste.Hoping holes are already to except the plastic retaining pins. That would be nice.

Paste would be the appropriate choice for the threaded fitting.

Your ProXS model should NOT require drilling for the check valves (that applies to much older product that utilized the same type of pump).

Sorry to hear you were shorted 1.5" on the fuel line.... we're usually very careful about that.

Fuel line is "supposed" to be marked with blue arrows at 12" intervals. If you don't mind- would you measure between the blue arrows on the line you received to see if it's perhaps "shy" of 12"???

The photos below would make good photos of the correct fuel line to show guys when replacing lines. The last 2 photos.

So am I interpreting the photos correctly that the spacing on the arrows depends on the diameter of the hose? Looks like different font sizes.

There is obviously an error in the printing of the "length marking arrows".

No problem with the line itself- but we'll obviously be adding a measuring device, and "ignoring" the arrows in the future.
