I have a slight oil leak coming out of the top of the cap of the oil reservoir in the BILGE area NOT the one under the cowling. I have tightened the cap and the hose clamp leading to the remote fill location but leak is persistent. My dealer said it is highly unlikely for that cap to leak....Anyone else have this problem?

Pressure test of the system is the only "real" way to accurately determine where the leak is.
If the oil tank level is at about 3/4... you might be able to check it with soapy water (kids bubble making stuff works pretty good)... spray it around hose connection, cap, hose collar, etc.
This can also be done with a gearcase pressure tester (engine OFF) while testing at 5 - 9 psi (pressure hose must be disconnected from powerhead to connect pressure tester).
Often find the culprit is a dirty or loose hose connection, damaged o-ring, or in a rare case, a cracked/fractured cap.
