    First SI images

OK, here we go. The SI images aren't coming out like I thought they would. Still a little blurry and hard to make out some obvious structure that I know is there. Anyway, check out this image and let me know what you think. I should add that the transducer is on the TM. Thanks!

    Re: First SI images (rodnreel)

I find images from the TM to be "fuzzy" because the TM isn't staying perfectly still but I can usually get an idea what's out there. The key is to make sure your scroll speed is the same as the speed you are travelling.

Have you slowed your chart speed down to 1 or 2? Whats your sensitivity at, and what are your SI enhance settings at?

Yes chart speed has been cranked down to 2 I believe. I recently installed a software update to my unit, so the sensitivities and SI enhance should be default values. Thanks for reminding me of that...I usually keep sensitivity around 8 or 9

Suggestion: use the Sensitivity setting like a TV brightness control and adjust the screen brightness according to what it looks like to you at any particular depth and color pallet. That can change often.

Sensitivity to about 11, contrast around the same, and sharpness to at least med if not high. You might also set your chart speed at 1

    Re: First SI images (skjstein)

Played around with the contrast and sharpness yesterday on the water. Made a BIG difference. Also the newest update reset the scroll speed to the default 5. I slowed this down and saw an improvement also. Still a little blurry, but I guess that's to be expected on the TM. Thanks again guys!!
