    Oil Line Question

I am putting a new motor on my boat and have to go back to an oil injection jug...(i premix now). The tubing on my jug is not long enough, but I have another piece of tubing that will reach if I combine them. My question is, is it ok to use a connector to connect the two pieces of tubing. The last time my boat had oil injection the company that rigged it used a "double male" barbed connector to lengthen the line, so I am assuming that it is not an issue??

    Re: Oil Line Question (blckshp55)

You COULD splice the line.... but IMHO, this is only adding an additional "potential leak" point.

A MUCH better solution would be to purchase a LINE SET (Part# 99439). This would give you 114" of tubing (dual lines) that shouldn't need to be spliced AT ALL.
