    rev limiter

    Don,
Do you know at what RPMS the rev limiters kick in on the 200, 225 and 250 Pro XS motors?
    Thank You

    Re: rev limiter (Ohirolina)

    Tricky question, Ron.

There are multiple limiters to consider.... and the best means of explaining the function is to consider the limiter as a "window" of perhaps 500 RPM's. Depending on conditions, limiter may activate EARLY, in the middle of the range, or even near the very top figure.

Some calibration changes have occurred recently... so the 200 ProXS info is actually estimated:

200 ProXS: Propping RPM is 5000-5700 (5890 approximate limiter)
    225 & 250 ProXS: Propping RPM is 5500-6000 (6300 limiter)

So is this what my 08 is probably set at? I hit 6200 the first trip out this year but I just thought maybe my tach was off.

    Re: rev limiter (transamz9)

You need a smartcraft or something similar to be sure.

Yes, that is where your '08 would be set at.... but as Ron suggested, you can't trust an Analog Tachometer to give accurate RPM figures.
