    rod wraps

I was looking at some wraps for my rods to keep them from getting tangled in the rod box and to protect them. looked at all kinds of stuff but came up with a pretty cheap idea and it is padded. I went to Home depot and bought pipe insulation, the solid one, and slid it over my rods. on the end where the tip is i used a wire tie, zip tie, whatever you want to call it and cinched the end down. the foam is about a dollar a piece and the zip ties are even cheaper than that. keeps everything from getting tangled and actually protects the rods while running down the lake. now just have to find something for spinning rods!!! will post pics soon!!!

I used the pipe foam also. But the rod line guides were always catching on the foam. I now use some homemade rod covers. Can now get 8/10 rods into a small rod locker.
