senko,senko pro,work very well,for me i wont use anything else for that style of bait,,,may give the cold thing a try...
I use GYCB senkos all the time. I'll give the cold tip a try. Thanks for the tip.

I went out this morning and caught 13 bass and only went through 4 Senkos. After they start sliding off the head of the hook, I bite off about 1/2 inch from the tip and rethread the hook. After that end starts getting nasty, I turn it around, bite off a little from the small end and thread it on the hook backwards. Once the Senko is down to about 4 inches long I put on a new one. The fish don't seem to care and still bite them like crazy. I save the 4 inch leftover for wacky style and it still works great.
I stick with the Yum Dinger's since they are on sale so often at BPS and Walmart. Few bucks for a pack. I just rig them wacky style anyways. Skip the hell out of them and rarely lose one unless the fish rips it off. I can't see spending more for the GYCB Senko's. Both work equally as well for me and the colors I need are offered by both manufacturers.
One tip I have is a lot of people will just cast, let fall and retrieve if they didn't get a bite on the fall. I like to let it fall and sit on the bottom for a 10-15 seconds. Give it a little twitch and let sit again. Yesterday I was killing it with this presentation. Would not get a bite on the fall, only after letting it sit.
Maybe I am doing something wrong...I can catch a crap ton of fish on "1" senko. I mainly throw wacky with an o-ring. But I have found that I only buy senko's in certain colors and the majority of sticks I use are the SK ocho's which last at least 5-10 fish each. The cold trick will be tried for sure. have fun be safe.
They are all about the same as articles comparing several major brands on sink rate and action. The fall of a Senko triggers bites. I do use Tikki sticks, Senko, Yum Dingers, Big Bite, and Kinami worms. All have their place and specific colors. Using the Hitch Hickers/spring hooks from Owner, Gamagatsu help on the tear up. I have found bites triggered from a torn
worm. They make them with joints in them due to this different action. On sale, Store closings.. ect.. Smart shopper. I get Yum products at 1/2 the cost, due to my wife works for EBSCO Industries. (They own PRADCO Lures)

Never thought of that, I'll have to try that out this weekend!
I get 3 or 4 hours out of a wacky rigged senko style rig. I use the original if I have them, or a major store brand because they are cheaper. If the lure comes off the hook, it usually slides up the line. I have already told some of you how to do it, some listen, some don't. I throw my lures over a likely spot and jerk the hell out of it and get crushing strikes. All it takes is some 1/4 or 3/8 inch clear vinyl tubing and a razor blade or pair of side cutters. Cut it in 1/16 wide rings, stretch them to fit over the senko, or stretch the senko to make it smaller in diameter and slide it down the lure half way.
I am a cheapskate and proud of it, and if I lost a lure every other cast I'd stop using it.
I've noticed a patterned in my fishing particularly with soft plastics.
The more fragile the bait is, the more fish I catch... my top fish catching baits are the senko and the sweet beaver.... and both are "one" fish baits...
I want to say the salt content has a lot to do with it as that the less plastic there is holding everything together, the more fragile the bait...

The theory is that the softer the bait, the longer the fish will hold it.
GYCB Senko/Kinami, Tikki sticks, Yum Dingers, Strike King Zero, BPS Stick-O...all of them work for me. The way I look at is that with all the other expenses we pay to go fish, the price of a bag of plastics is of minimal importance. Use whatever floats your boat. But anything that prevents you from keeping your line wet...that's bad chit.
Throwing the bag into the cooler is a good tip. I'll try that, but I'm not certain that she won't yell to high heaven.

Well, I have influenced new color selections in the past. I came up with the 318 color because of our local Salamander population and it has been a good seller. IM me the color and we can see if it can be made.

I fished a Senkos quite a bit and still have em in my bag... but .. I was in K mart the other day and saw "Its the Same Thing" sticks baits made by Creme. It's a senko knock off that sells for 2.99 a pack so I figured what the heck and bought a couple of packs. I know Creme has been making soft plastics for over 60 years so whats a few bucks. Tried a couple of old faithful docks using GY senkos and these. These guys held up bite for bite with the $7 senko from GY. I went back and bought all they had of one particular color. I fish them mostly but have the GY and Kinami in my bag as well. Oh, I also found the Kinami in "Ollie's Bargain Outlet" for 3.29 a pack... Bought all they had
